I bought the small version to fit my 1st gen Tacoma. This tailgate has great design features. The padding is thick, and the material facing the tailgate is soft. It also has an opening for the handle. But that's where the similarities with its competitors end. The quick release buckles are the s-hook type. They seem to be more secure than the traditional plastic push button quick release. There is also a large pocket to store various things. Because of the large pocket, I am tempted to make it a permanent fixture on my truck. I hope they continue to make these until my truck dies.
